In 1998 his heart began to fail (is the heart a muscle???...he was still on the Statins) and he received a heart pacemaker (3 TIMES they did the surgery due to the inept surgeon who was our ?trusted? cardiac specialist neighbor) and it was found that he had 1 & 1/3 kidney function (?statins?). Later that year (after the 3 doses of general anesthesia for the pacer operations) he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and a year after that with coexisting Parkinson's.
Paul Sr. died catatonic at age 72 in September of 1999.
